THERAPY APP

CASTING LOCATION: NY/PA/NJ Area

SHOOT LOCATION: PA AREA

  • CARRIE, 30-42, Female/Non-Binary (Femme), All ethnicities.
Gritty, magnetic, real. The kind of person who lives in her band tee and doesn’t care if her eyeliner is from yesterday. Tattoos, piercings, or visible individuality a plus—but not required. Rock and roll, but doesn’t care if you believe her. Aside from rock and roll.

  • LORI/THERAPIST, 42-57, Female, All ethnicities. Warm, approachable, and trustworthy on sight—someone you could unload your soul to without hesitation. Clean, simple style (knits, glasses, soft neutrals), but with something a little personal—like an unexpected pin, bold frames, or an air plant on her desk.

  • MARTHA, 27-40, Female, All ethnicities. Slightly off-kilter in the best way. Martha feels like someone who used to be very put-together, and is now mid-unravel—but still functioning. Think grown-up gifted kid energy: smart, cool, witty, and passionate. Appears stressed and frazzled but can get herself back to calm, cool and collected quickly.

  • LIV, 34-39, Female, All ethnicities. She’s not trying, and that’s the point. Three outfits on repeat, hair in a bun that somehow always works. She’s calm, curious, maybe sipping tea she forgot she made. Therapy at 3, but she’s here for you till then. Nothing about her is loud—but you listen when she talks. She is not overwhelmed by Martha’s spiral, because she’s seen it a hundred times.

  • TED, 22-33, Male, All ethnicities. Bookish burnout. Think ex-philosophy major who now hosts a podcast no one listens to. Ted looks like someone who spends way too much time in his own head—soft-featured, slightly disheveled, emotionally open but guarded by sarcasm. Like he owns a weighted blanket and refers to it as ‘my girlfriend’. Someone who can balance emotional exhaustion with an almost poetic sense of defeat.

  • BILL (ROOMMATE), 22-33, Male, All ethnicities. Soft, cozy, and just along for the ride. Bill’s in basketball shorts and a tee that’s seen better days. He was either about to crash or just rolled out of bed—and now he’s watching his roommate turn the bathroom into a full-blown emotional retreat. He’s not mad about it.
